Features

Everything a help centre needs

From the first article to the thousandth, the tools stay simple for writers and fast for readers.

Topics, subtopics & articles

Organise content in three clear levels with icons, ordering and drafts that stay hidden until you publish.

Rich article editor

Headings, lists, tables, images and links in a familiar editor. Content is cleaned on save so pages stay safe.

Instant search

Readers search across every article they are allowed to see, from the home page or any article.

Subdomain or subfolder

Each help centre chooses its own address, such as acme.your-domain.com or your-domain.com/acme.

Groups & permissions

Keep topics public, for any signed-in member, or only for the groups you choose.

Member accounts

Add members yourself, send invitations, or open a public registration form. It is your choice per help centre.

Sign in from your app

Your users are signed in automatically through a signed handshake. No second password to remember.

Reader feedback

Every article asks “Was this helpful?”. A thumbs down opens a box so readers can tell you what to improve.

Analytics dashboard

Daily views, unique readers, most-read and least-helpful articles, and top searches for each period.

Content gap finder

See the searches that found nothing. They are the articles your readers want you to write next.

Mobile friendly

Reading and admin pages adapt to small screens, with a collapsible menu and touch-sized buttons.

Secure by default

Hashed passwords, CSRF protection, a strict content security policy and single-use sign-in tokens.

How it works

Live in three steps

1

Create the help centre

We set up your tenant with its name, address type and first admin account.

2

Add your content

Build topics and subtopics, write articles, and choose which groups can read each topic.

3

Invite your readers

Share the link, invite members, open registration or connect sign-in from your app.

Access control

Decide who reads what

Every topic has its own visibility, so one help centre can serve customers, partners and staff.

Public

Anyone with the link can read. Good for product guides and FAQs.

  • Found by search engines
  • No sign-in needed

Selected groups

Only the groups you pick can read. Good for internal or partner content.

  • Unlimited groups
  • Members can be in many groups
For developers

Sign users in from your own app

Your users already have an account with you. Send them to the help centre already signed in, with the right groups, using one of two handshakes.

  • Signed link. Your app builds a short-lived link signed with your secret. Each link works once.
  • Server API. Your server calls the API with its key and gets a single-use sign-in URL back.
  • Automatic accounts. Members are created or updated on the fly, including their groups.
POST /api/sso
// Your server asks for a sign-in URL
POST https://acme.your-domain.com/api/sso
api-key: your-tenant-secret

{
  "email": "jane@example.com",
  "name": "Jane Doe",
  "groups": ["customers"],
  "redirect": "/topic/billing"
}

// Response: send the user to this URL
{
  "result": "success",
  "url": "https://acme.your-domain.com/sso/token/…",
  "expires_in": 120
}
Analytics

Know which articles work

Views from your own admins and from bots are left out, so the numbers show real readers. Switch between 7, 30 and 90 days and compare with the period before.

  • Views and unique readers per day
  • Articles that need attention, with readers’ suggestions
  • Top searches and searches with no results

Questions

Frequently asked

Can each help centre have its own address?

Yes. Each tenant chooses a subdomain such as acme.your-domain.com or a subfolder such as your-domain.com/acme, and can change it later.

Can some articles be private?

Yes. Visibility is set per topic: public, any signed-in member, or only selected groups.

Do my users need a separate password?

No. You can sign them in from your own app with a signed link or through the API. You can also invite them or let them register.

How do I know if an article is useful?

Readers can vote on every article and leave a suggestion when it did not help. The dashboard shows views, votes and searches.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. Both the reading pages and the admin area are built for small screens.

What happens if I stop paying?

Your help centre moves back to the free plan at the end of the period you paid for. Pages above the free limit are hidden from readers, not deleted, and come back when you upgrade again.

Is the free plan really free?

Yes, with up to 15 public pages. A free help centre is paused after 90 days without an admin signing in, and deleted after 365 days.

Ready for a help centre of your own?

Create a free help centre in a minute, then upgrade when you need more. Existing admins can sign in to their help centre any time.
